    Position Purpose

    Support YPO efforts to deliver world class educational programming with specific responsibility for chapter level activities within your assigned region/s. Serve as the YPO Learning Department’s primary liaison to the Regional and Chapter Learning Officers and Regional and Chapter Mentoring Officers, providing support, consulting and advisory services to these officers to deliver world class learning and mentoring programs both regionally and to their respective chapters.

    Responsibilities

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Through one to one proactive outreach, build and manage relationships with all Regional Learning Officers and Regional Mentoring Officers (who are member champions) in your assigned YPO regions.
    • Through proactive outreach, build and manage relationships with all Chapter Mentoring Officers (who are member champions) in your assigned YPO regions in the support of the growth of Peer to Peer Mentoring.
    • Through proactive outreach build and manage relationships with all Chapter Learning Officers and Chapter Administrators. Chapter Learning Officers focus on the creation and delivery of an annual learning program that fulfills the needs of the members within a specific chapter.
    • Determine each region’s annual priorities and develop, implement and achieve strategic plans and goals for learning within the regions they align to the international Learning Committee’s goals
    • Take the lead on providing status updates on these goals at the appropriate time and through the appropriate channels such as representation at Regional Board Meetings
    • Provide customized and regionally relevant direction and advisory services on program design best practices, relevant in-house tools, content, speaker resources etc., that allow for the learning health of the chapters to flourish
    • Determine each region’s annual mentoring priorities and develop, implement and achieve strategic plans and goals for mentoring within the region.
    • Take the lead on providing status updates on these goals at the appropriate time and through the appropriate channels such as representation at Regional Board Meetings
    • Support the design and delivery of learning officer/learning related workshops
    both at the Regional and International levels as they arise.
    • Deliver training to support champion development and the growth of mentoring programs through officer training, Mentoring Masterclasses, etc.

    Qualifications

    Experience/Background

    • Minimum of 4-7 years’ experience in the learning and development field; experience and knowledge of the executive and corporate education arena highly desirable
    • Experience in program design for adult audiences; knowledge of what works and what doesn’t, and what is effective learning; familiarity with a range of topics, formats, and delivery systems, including experiential and non-traditional learning methods

    • Superior at building and maintaining relationships with the level of professionalism and stature necessary to interact easily with YPO members, C-level executives, high-profile speakers, experts, and faculty
    • Demonstrated ability to influence, navigate and engage a global network of top- tier Executives, strategic partners, educational institutions, consultants, and experts, as well as take the lead on key decisions when necessary
    • Outstanding listening, verbal, written and presentation communication skills that allow the individual to understand, translate, articulate and execute member needs
    • Comfortable supporting, and facilitating (where necessary) workshops
    • Strong customer-service orientation

     

    Education/Certification/Training

    • Familiar with on-line learning platforms
    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (required)

     

    Physical Requirements

    • Extensive travel required (regional and international).
