The Product Owner will support YPO's web-based and mobile applications through the Agile development process by helping to define the product vision, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, and ensuring that the product supports the organization’s overall strategy and goals.   • Collaborates cross-functionally to maintain backlog, support strategic planning efforts, and execute tactical activities, ensuring quality of product via release management.
  • Works with internal and external stakeholders to gather requirements and decompose features into user stories.
  • Plays a key role in Agile sprint cycles by developing user stories and test cases.
  • Works closely with development, QA and delivery teams (both in-house and vendor based).
  • Participates in narrative breakdown and grooming sessions.   
  • Maintains and prioritizes the user story backlog; works with development, architecture/IT, and stakeholder teams to refine user stories to meet the Definition of Ready.
  • Performs and coordinates User Acceptance Testing, validates and accepts stories as "Done."
  • Partners with SCRUM team to ensure all tasks are completed.
  • Facilitates enhancements and resolution of production issues.
  • Effectively manages relationships with key stakeholders and business partners; provides timely and accurate updates.
  • Serves as an internal and member-facing resource with respect to product features and benefits.


  • 5+ years IT delivery experience overall (as Business Analyst and/or Project Manager).
  • 2+ years’ experience as Agile Product Owner.
  • Well-versed with iterative development processes, QA and DevOps (e.g. CI/CD).
  • Understanding of web and mobile technologies, with ability to analyze user requirements and triage defect logs.
  • Knowledge of salesforce.com is helpful.
  • Exposure to digital and/or mobile products is nice to have.
  • Industry certifications (e.g. CSPO, CSM) are a plus.
  • Expertise in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and enable sprint-driven processes to unfold smoothly.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with all levels within an internationally-based organization.
  • Willingness to learn and take on new challenges, with ability to work with little or no supervision yet be an integral part of the team.
  • Proven ability to meet established deadlines and be proactive in achieving desired outcomes.
  • Capable of building and maintaining positive relationships with organization, as well as application partners and team members.
  • Highly motivated professional: self-starter and results oriented.
  • Proven success supporting technology applications across a broad user base.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient documentation, prioritization and analytical capability.
