  • Overview

    YPO's IT department is growing and we are looking for a mid-level C#.NET specialist to participate in cross-functional projects involving development and enhancement of our core applications (e.g. 25,000 member-facing web portal), with a focus on RESTful (WebAPI) and WCF services. This is a great opportunity to increase your exposure to server-side architecture and design, as our Agile processes continue to evolve in-house.

    Responsibilities

    • Perform development/engineering for our middle-tier layer that leverages WCF and RESTful services.
    • Leverage object-oriented design principles to implement new features.
    • Participate in collaborative sprint release activities.
    • Prepare high-quality technical documentation pertaining to business and technical requirements (i.e. design documents, test cases and deployment guides).
    • Collaborate within an Agile/SCRUM development environment.
    • Adhere to high-quality development principles. 

    Qualifications

     

    • 4+ years progressive object-oriented development experience using C#.NET.
    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
    • Exposure to source control tools like Git or SVN.
    • Self-motivated and able to work cohesively within a team environment on concurrent project initiatives.
    • Good problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication ability, both verbal and written.
    • Comfortable with SQL Server (e.g. CRUD operations).
    • Understanding of SDLC and Agile processes.
    • Experienced in product-facing roles.
    • Exposure to test-driven and/or continuous development environments.
    • Familiar with ORMs such as LINQ and/or Entity Framework.
