Overview

 

Leads YPO's efforts to deliver world class educational programming with specific responsibility for chapter level activities within the European region. Serve as the YPO's Learning Department’s primary liaison to the Regional and Chapter Education Officers and Regional and Chapter Mentoring Officers.  Provides support, consulting and advisory services to these officers to deliver world class education and mentoring programs at the local chapter and across the European region.

Responsibilities

  • Through one to one proactive outreach, build and manage relationships with all Regional Education Officers (who are member champions) in your assigned YPO regions. Determine each region’s annual priorities and develop, implement and achieve strategic plans and goals for education within the region. Take the lead on providing status updates on these goals at the appropriate time and through the appropriate channels such as representation at Regional Board Meetings
  • Through one to one proactive outreach build and manage relationships with all Chapter Education Officers and Chapter Administrators. Chapter Education Officers focus on the creation and delivery of an annual education program that fulfills the needs of the members within a specific chapter. Provide customized and regionally relevant direction and advisory services on program design best practices, relevant in-house tools, content, speaker resources etc, that allow for the educational health of the chapters to flourish
  • Through one to one proactive outreach, build and manage relationships with all Regional and Chapter Mentoring Officers (who are member champions) in your assigned YPO regions in the support of the growth of Peer to Peer Mentoring. Determine each region’s annual mentoring priorities and develop, implement and achieve strategic plans and goals for mentoring within the region. Take the lead on providing status updates on these goals at the appropriate time and through the appropriate channels such as representation at Regional Board Meetings
  • Support the design and delivery of education officer/education related workshops both at the Regional and International levels as they arise. Ensure training mechanisms to support the growth of mentoring programs can be accessed.

Qualifications

Experience / Background 

  • Minimum of 4-7 years’ experience in the learning and development field; experience and knowledge of the executive and corporate education arena highly desirable
  • Experience in program design for adult audiences; knowledge of what works and what doesn’t, and what is effective education; familiarity with a range of topics, formats, and delivery systems, including experiential and non-traditional learning methods

  • Superior at building and maintaining relationships with the level of professionalism and stature necessary to interact easily with YPO-WPO members, C-level executives, high-profile speakers, experts, and faculty
  • Demonstrated ability to influence, navigate and engage a global network of top-tier Executives, strategic partners, educational institutions, consultants, and experts, as well as take the lead on key decisions when necessary
  • Outstanding listening, verbal, written and presentation communication skills that allow the individual to understand, translate, articulate and execute member needs
  • Comfortable supporting, and facilitating (where necessary) workshops
  • Strong customer-service orientation

Education / Training / Certification 

  • Familiar with on-line learning platforms
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (required)

Physical Requirements

  • Extensive travel required
