YPO's is growing, and we are seeking a Product Manager to help drive the strategic planning, support and prioritization of digital and web-related aspects of our 25,000+ member-facing portal, including user stories, design, development, testing, marketing, defect resolution, support and training. You will own products from development to lifecycle management and ensure the successful launch and reliable support for them. As the "voice of the YPO member," you will combine a deep understanding of existing products and services, member needs, development team capabilities, and SaaS partners in order to define and manage a product portfolio that is compelling, well-used and meets measurable business objectives. As the subject matter expert for the product, you will also support business stakeholders and users to drive engagement, repeat use and a positive experience.    


  • Represent the customer while meticulously addressing the user experience to integrate needs into requirements definition.
  • Manage product lifecycle from concept to phasing out.
  • Collaborate with business leaders to identify and rationalize new opportunities, features and functionality, and identify problem area(s) then develop business cases and short/long term roadmap.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to business owners as they advocate for their business needs in the development of business cases and product plans.
  • Partner with project stakeholders and development teams on an ongoing basis to clearly develop the product vision and strategy.
  • Synthesize ideas on strategy, planning and execution of next generation of features 
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams through the development and execution of tactical plans to execute the product roadmap, realize product concepts and bring them to market.
  • Work with Members and Management Team to define/refine product requirements.
  • Compose user stories and requirements, prioritize requirements for releases and manage defect prioritization to ensure success release of products and features.
  • Continually manage backlog, dependencies, schedule, identify risks, critical path, and work with IT to develop risk mitigation strategies.
  • Participate in development of communication and training initiatives for enhanced functionality to impacted audiences, as appropriate.
  • Aggressively identify opportunities for improvement and incorporate new product features on an on-going basis.
  • Define market opportunities and work with various departments to develop business cases for new features.
  • Provide change management assistance to business owners as needed.
  • Identify and address needs for business process re-engineering and quality improvements.
  • Maintain product and market knowledge; analyze and keep abreast of market trends.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and develop a strong understanding of stakeholders to drive development decisions.
  • Develop and manage relationships with Members, Chapter Administrators and Management Team.
  • Serve as product evangelist, both internally and externally.
  • Conduct regular research of the member/customer, analyze the global environment and industry trends to define, prioritize, and execute upon those needs to drive a user focused product.
  • Participate in management of third party contractors and vendor relationships as needed.
  • Define and measure product metrics for measuring success and driving improvements across the product lifecycle.



  • 7+ years’ experience in software-facing product management, including defining, leading and launching successful web and mobile B2B and B2C products.
  • Adept with consumer/member insights and key metrics to shape product strategy over the lifecycle.
  • Proficient analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify problems, research causes/alternatives, and provide effective solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience with root-cause analysis in technical environments.
  • Able to communicate with all areas of the organization and will work with business owners, IT, developers and project management counterparts. 
  • Proven success supporting technology applications across a broad user base.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize competing opportunities, balance market needs with business priorities, manage cross functional expectations, and clearly articulate the rationale behind product decisions.
  • Well-versed in defining requirements, tasks and resources needed to deliver products and services.
  • Comfortable in high-stress situations with frequently changing and often simultaneous priorities.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Information Systems, or related area from an accredited institution; Master's degree is helpful.
  • Product Management training and/or industry certifications are nice to have.
  • Ability to work extended hours as needed, with flexibility to travel domestically and internationally (less than 20%).
