Overview

Position Purpose

Support YPO's efforts to deliver world class learning programs, products and services to every member with a focus on leading the quality growth of peer to peer mentoring.  Provide direct management support to the Regional Learning Managers, co- coordinating their efforts to bring maximum value to YPO’s chapters and regions, and positively contributing to each members Lifelong Learning Journey at YPO. 

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Motivate and manage a remote team of Regional Learning Managers including hiring, evaluation, retention and mentoring to deliver high quality learning services to chapters/regions.
  • Responsible for the growth of peer-to-peer mentoring within each Regional Learning Managers’ assigned regions, including direct support to Regional Learning Managers and delivery of mentor/ee training to chapters.
  • Collaborate with Chief Learning Officer and Senior Learning and Insights team to shape overall Learning and Insights Department strategy
  • Operationalize the strategy to achieve the most effective and efficient delivery through the relevant distribution channels, focusing on continuous improvement and quality monitoring
  • Take the lead as a key liaison for evolving learning content and services, working inter-departmentally and with key members to maximize impact of such initiatives (e.g. mentoring).
  • Lead assigned International Learning committee’s sub committee responsible for promoting the lifelong learning agenda for all members at YPO
  • Oversee the design and delivery of education and mentoring officer related workshops both at the Regional and International levels as they arise

Qualifications

SKILLS

  • Successful track record of managing and motivating a remote team to a high level of success
  • Demonstrated experience of putting in place effective operational plans and building operational capability through continuous improvement across multiple geographies
  • Experience in program design for adult audiences; knowledge of what works and what doesn’t, and what is effective education; familiarity with a range of topics, formats, and delivery systems, including experiential and non-traditional methods
  • Demonstrated ability to navigate and engage a global network C-level executives, top-tier strategic partners, educational institutions, consultants, and experts
  • Outstanding oral and written communication skills.

                       

EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND

  • 10+ years experience, preferably in the learning & development field
  • 5+ years of experience successfully managing a team, preferably in the learning and development field

 

EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATION

  • College degree or equivalent experience required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Skills and database management required

           

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Ability to travel (internationally).
