Overview

Position Title:              Join YPO Manager

Department:                Membership

Reports to (Title):        Senior Manager, Membership Recruitment

Location:               Cape Town - remote work

POSITION PURPOSE

Generates prospective member leads and initiates direct communication with prospective members to generate their interest to apply for membership. Drives and manages the YPO prospective member portals and the membership application pipeline and serves as the primary contact and resource for all prospects in the YPO membership pipeline.

Responsibilities

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Initiate and establish a rapport with prospective members and applicants in the membership application portal.
  • Design and execute a plan to identify prospective member leads through targeted web search, databases, publications and member referrals.
  • Prioritize the identification of prospect within the assigned geography as well as targets to meet specific recruitment needs of the chapters in the assigned geography.
  • Monitor all membership applications (including those submitted by chapters within the assigned geography) and validate prospect qualifications to meet the YPO membership criteria prior to assigning to chapters to pursue. Identify opportunities for a Waiver and execute the application processing.
  • Drive and manage the assignment of prospect leads and applications to chapters within a geographical area. Direct prospect leads outside the geography (including member referrals) to other Join YPO Managers accordingly.
  • Initiate the re-assignment of prospect leads and applications, as needed, aiming at providing prospects all opportunities to join YPO.
  • Recommend concepts and tactics to drive prospects to YPO public website in close collaboration with the Marketing Department. Develop and recommend enhancements to the CRM prospect portal aiming at continuous simplification and automation of the prospect management process.
  • Monitor the CRM prospect portal daily and assign qualifying applications to chapters within the assigned geography.
  • Maintain records in CRM reflecting chapter-specific membership criteria and assign the applications accordingly. Monitor and manage the re-assignment of applications as needed and required by the YPO policies and procedures.
  • Create and manage all CRM prospect lead records and retain responsibility for the record and application assignment until the prospect is converted to a member or the application is officially declined.
  • Process all YPO qualifying applications as submitted by the chapters in the assigned geography.
  • Initiate a yearly membership-department sanctioned process enabling chapters to opt in/out of the YPO prospect management process and assign the applications accordingly.
  • Generate reports to identify market potential for membership development based on high demand and low conversion of prospects.
  • Generate prospect lead reports to identify potential for new chapter formation within the assigned geography.
  • Maintain daily oversight and responsibility of the conversion goals within the assigned geography as well as the global membership goals. Proactively alert the Senior Manager, Membership Recruitment of goals that are not on track and recommend practices and tactics to meet the yearly goals.

 

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Update the YPO application yearly in collaboration with the Accounts Department (YPO dues) and the Marketing team (YPO application design).
  • Collaborate with the Marketing team in the execution of YPO awareness/promotion initiatives and campaigns and in the preparation of marketing material relevant to Join YPO.

SKILLS

  • Successful track record of identifying and managing prospect leads or new recruits, building an organization’s customer base and improving customer retention in a highly competitive market.
  • Demonstrated ability to “cold call” and to engage in and navigate conversations with prospective members.
  • Proven track record of proactive achievement in a quality service environment, with a high-level focus on client relationship management.
  • Ability to maintain, analyze and report on data.
  • Ability to create processes and structures.
  • High level of professionalism, stature and interpersonal skills to interact with C-suite executives, YPO prospects and YPO members and to maintain professional demeanor in high-stress situations.
  • Ability to professionally collaborate in an internationally based, multi-cultural organization.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Results driven and ability to be proactive in achieving desired outcomes.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, analytical and prioritization skills.
  • Ability to identify problems, troubleshoot, and provide effective solutions.

 

EXPERIENCE/BACKGROUND

  • At least three years of experience in a not-for-profit or service industry environment.
  • At least one year of experience in indirect sales in a not-for-profit organization highly preferred.
  • Proven record of achieving targets and supporting business development and customer base potential within an organization.
  • Proven history of building strong customer partnerships resulting in high levels of customer service.
  • Project management.
  • Experienced in use of client relationship management software. Experience with SalesForce highly preferred.
  • Data analysis

 

EDUCATION/TRAINING/CERTIFICATION

Bachelor’s degree.

Salesforce trained or proven experience

 

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
