Position Title:              Senior Manager, Membership Recruitment

Reports to (Title):        Membership Recruitment Director

Location:              Dallas US - remote work

Responsible to organize and manage membership development front-line experts (the Pods) to achieve yearly targets. Tasked with the job of driving membership growth within a geographic area as well as implementing development strategies as set by the organization and executed through the membership department.

Trains, directs motivates the front-line experts (Pods) to recruit new members and form new chapters in collaboration with the members and in accordance with the organization’s strategic direction.         

In collaboration with the Membership Recruitment Director, designs and introduces tactics and processes that enable the Pods to drive and achieve the yearly goals.

Develops and maintains high knowledge of all membership related policies and procedures and serves as an advisor to the Pods, the members and the management team.



  • Develops growth goals for the Pods and ensures they are met.
  • Trains, and guides the Pod members to develop their skills and achieve their goals.
  • Maintains consistent oversight of the membership metrics and provides reports to the department head about what is and is not working.
  • Evaluates the progress in reaching the goals and proactively introduces tactics and processes to ensure the goals are achieved.
  • Evaluates the performance and strengths of the Pods and recommends to the department head adjustments and changes as needed.
  • Designs and maintains a library of tools and quick reference for new member recruitment and chapter development available for the Pods and member champions.
  • Maintains consistent oversight of the Salesforce tools and recommends adjustments as needed.
  • Plans and oversees the CMO yearly training on Salesforce
  • Plans and executes communication to the CMOs relevant to new membership policies and processes.
  • Reviews new chapter development plans and collaborates with the relevant departments to execute the process of approval.
  • Establishes and nurtures relationships among other YPO departments to expand the efforts of new member recruitment beyond the membership team.
  • Researches companies, organizations and social media to identify new leads and potential for market development.
  • Researches and reports organizations and/or companies competitive to YPO.
  • Directs the work of the Pods in managing the assignment and re-assignment or prospects to YPO chapters.
  • Maintains daily oversight and responsibility of the conversion goals within the assigned region of responsibility as well as the global membership goals.
  • Manages the budget for all Pods in the assigned region.



  • Support the Membership Officer Workshop as assigned.
  • Support the Membership Council as assigned.
  • Prepare membership reports and presentations as requested by the department head.
  • Maintain membership Sharepoint files updated as assigned.      
  • Collaborate with the marketing and communications team in the execution of YPO awareness/promotion initiatives and campaigns.
  • Collaborates with the marketing and communications team in the preparation of marketing material relevant to Join YPO.

  • Ability to provide training and quality leadership to a large team of ‘sales’ people.
  • Strong communication and IT fluency.
  • Socially adept.
  • Excellent with numbers, statistics and analysis.
  • Creative, with the ability to solve tough problems.

  • Results driven and ability to be proactive in achieving desired outcomes.



Global business experience

Successful track record managing and training ‘sales teams’

Sales field experience preferably in a not for profit organization

Proven record of achieving targets

Project management

Salesforce and data analysis



Bachelor’s degree and/or at least 7 years of experience in sales management.

Salesforce trained or proven experience.



Able to travel as required
